School does not have sufficient number of teachers, and struggles with teacher attendance, student attendance, and effective instruction. School is lacking basic infrastructure and is very isolated. 


Build positive school culture and engage community to improve conditions for learning. 


Aaron Ballah and Jacob Jallah are the School Capacity Leaders at Mooretown – MTM Public School. They redesigned the school schedule to include weekly, teacher collaborative time where they learn keys to effective, engaging instruction and design lesson plans. They are testing an incentive system of Teacher of the Week + Marking Period to increase attendance and engagement. They engaged the community to increase student enrollment and improve student attendance.
